I Can Dream Anything was commissioned by Dulwich College, Beijing, especially for the Music, Dance, Art ad Drama festival finale 2018, under the leadership of Nina Haynes.
The festival theme was “Movie Magic!” And yes, the world premiere even featured pyrotechnics.
As a fan of cinema and film soundtracks Paul has composed a piece that pays tribute to the great ‘family friendly’ films of history and more importantly, honour the music and the composers who gave this legacy to the world. In the piece there are over forty much loved movies acknowledged and the music Paul has composed is inspired by the greats; Korngold, Steiner, Herrmann, Waxman, Morricone, Bernstein, Barry, Horner, Newman, Shore, Silvestri, Zimmer and of course the great John Williams.
Read the lyrics below and have a listen also to the digital recording. This piece is a wild ride through the history of cinema and will charm and entertain all ages. See if you can find your favourite movie!
