In 2011 Paul was invited to work in 4 central western NSW schools to work with selected students to write new school songs. While 3 were in the town of Dubbo, one of the schools, Ballimore Public School is a remote farming community based school with less than 20 students, all taught the wonders of the world by exceptional teacher Leah Berry.
Years later, all these schools sing their songs with pride and Paul often returns to Dubbo for choral events and other projects.
Important to the integrity of Paul’s process is the fact that every school has its own unique story and that its is Paul’s job to find that honest path. This song below for Dubbo West is the perfect example. It is an Aussie Outback rock song that is all about moving forward in life.
We hope you enjoy the school song recording guide for Dubbo West Public School. While you are listening you can view these collaborative worksheets and how they evolve into the lyrics.
